Autism is a mind turning, life changing and soul searching experience that affects everyone in my family. When diagnosed with autism at age 4, my son had no speech therefore communication was a constant battle. His perseverance over the years has given us strength to never give up. There is a strong mind and a good soul within in my son despite his shortfalls. Every positive encounter and encouragement enables him to try harder and become a perfectionist at every task. He is now in a regular grade 5 classroom working at a grade 5 level though modified. We couldn't be more proud!

My advice to any parent facing the Autism road…nothing you do is ever too little so long as you do something to assist your child and never give up. Believe in them and they too will believe in themselves!
