Its been the first steps and so far so good but I am just waiting for the behaviour issues to start..they always do.

Well I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop in therapy for a while now. It always seems that these things start well, like every school year. Everyone is all attentive and works to help James transition into new classes or programs etc. then everything evens out and James gets bored. As things go on he stops being interested and often does not want to attend, then some behaviour issues will pop up and everyone spends all of their time and effort dealing with small behaviours…

Getting up to Speed

Iwona Dmetrienko came to our house today to discuss the new program. As I said earlier we have decided to hire Behavioural Intervention Servies based on some recommendations from other parents and some input from other parents on other providers they felt did not meet the flexibility that we require. We got approved for ABA funding today!
Which way do I go?

We got a call today from Tara at Erin Oak saying that we were approved for ABA funding with DFO as of the beginning of February for 21 hours per week at 39.00 per hour for a total of over 9800 per quarter.
We were told that someone from KLAS would be contacting us. Tara told us that KLAS was a partnership between kidsability and lutherwood. I have never heard of KLAS before and I searched the autism spectrum connection site and nothing came up but I dont know…
