An event every 3 months that begins at 7:30pm on day Third of the month, repeating until June 20, 2019
The A-Team is primarily run by individuals with Aspergers Syndrome, for individuals with Aspergers Syndrome, with some assistance from Waterloo Region Family Network. The goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment to meet fellow adults with Aspergers Syndrome (or Autism Spectrum Disorder – level 1), discuss topics of interest, share experiences, and embrace our neurological diversity.
This group is intended for adults, aged 18+, who are either diagnosed or self identify with Aspergers Syndrome (or Autism Spectrum Disorder – level 1), and who are seeking support. Individuals who are able to function at a vocational level, whether this is through volunteer work, employment or academic endeavours are welcome. Participants should be able to comprehend the discussion topics with some sense of self-awareness and personal insight. All meetings will take place at KW Habilitation at 99 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener – 3rd floor
*Optional pre-meeting social begins at 7:00pm (come meet other participants in a casual, relaxed, and supportive setting).
An email RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org is required to attend either the social or discussion portion of a meeting. Meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of each month, from September until June.
